Seminar 2005 Fundraiser

Did someone say Belly Dancing?? As native music beat through the Irvine Marriott Grand Ballroom, acrobatic cartwheels and can-cans tumbled across the stage. Brightly colored costumes with scarves held high hid the faces of the familiar. The covering scarves gradually lowered, revealing the identities of seven beaming belly-dancing queens of SeneGence® corporate.

The girls were asked (and easily persuaded) to accompany me in secret belly dancing classes. After discovering the talents within the group, we decided to take the show on the road. Make Sense night at Seminar would be the perfect place to debut our choreography of fancy footwork, can cans, and cartwheels across the stage – anything to entertain our beloved Distributors.

Emotions ran high as the participants went from moments of laughter and cheers to support and loving tears. The tone of the evening changed almost minute to minute from dancing amusement, announcing the winners of the silent auction (hand-painted art), to hearts pumping as Douglas Ladnier ‘wooed’ the audience with his gracious and gorgeous voice, (not to Mention his looks!) (check out photo on right) to the announcement of this year’s charity donation recipients.

Joni’s box of Kleenex was shared by many as distributor Sandy Pate was surprised on stage with a check for $5,000 for a charity close to her home, Boys Haven:

“There were so many funnies, said Sandy Pate from Beaumont, Texas.  “The belly dancing was a hoot, I was crying from laughing so hard.  Of course, my favorite was being one of the recipients of the Make Sense Foundation® donation for Boys Haven. “Words cannot describe the overwhelming feelings I have had ever since that night. It was a total surprise.  I had no idea - even up to the point when I was called to come to the stage.  I could not stop crying from the surprise.  The overwhelming heartfelt gratitude and pride in my heart was beyond any emotion’s ones body could experience at any one time.

“How blessed we are to have The Make Sense Foundation® that see the needs of our local boys in Beaumont, Texas at Boys Haven.  The love, compassion and tremendous generosity touched more hearts in my community than you will ever know. “The SeneSisters and camaraderie shared is indicative of how important it is to attend Seminar every year.  I have not missed a Seminar since becoming a Distributor.  We all learn from each other - regardless of one’s level. “If you are a distributor and have never attended a seminar, start getting ready now for the next one.  The motivation, ambiance, camaraderie, the "I get it now" feelings cannot be obtained by staying at home.  Come to the celebrations and learn and get your ‘MOJO’ going.  It is the best of the best cheerleading, learning about SeneGence® overall, visiting Corporate, meeting SeneSisters and SeneBrothers that make SeneGence® what it is today.”
