The Rainbow House is an emergency shelter for sexually and physically abused
children. The shelter also houses children that are in foster care and assists
parents who need placement for their children during times of crises. Children
are cared for in an environment that is safe, structured, and reflects family
values. Every effort is made to keep siblings together and to keep
children in the school which they normally attend. A trained, loving
staff is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Professional therapy is
provided for the children during their stay. For the families in crisis,
they provide follow-up after discharge. The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a
child-friendly environment where a trained multi-disciplinary team serves
children who have been abused. The child is the primary focus of the work
of the center. Follow-up services are available for children and families
as needed.
Thank you, Melanie Forrest for your great recommendation!
